About the author (2003)

Chris Cooper is foundation professor of tourism management and head of the school of tourism and leisure management at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. Before moving to Australia he worked at the University of Surrey and Bournemouth University in the UK. Chris Cooper's research interests include globalisation, tourism education and training, and resort development. He has published a number of texts in tourism and is co-editor of Current Issues in Tourism.
